My name is Lisa Crowley. I am 56-years-old and have lived in Ward 6 across from Romuva Park on Howard Street for 20 years with my husband Tom and two dogs, Tucker and Autumn.

It has been a great place to live and I want to help ensure that those of us who live, work, go to school and do business in Ward 6 have a voice and know their city councilor is motivated, dedicated, knowledgeable and working for you.

I will work for you, because I am you. A resident who believes Ward 6 is a great place to live and we want to keep it that way.

I will:

  • Improve communication and responsiveness.

  • Increase transparency, access to public information and open government

  • Hold monthly meetings

  • Bring a “Can-do-Attitude” to positive initiatives and change

  • Be a team player but an independent thinker

  • Listen. Ask. Act.

Civic Activities:

  • Nearly 20 years as a member of the Brockton Garden Club and with A LOT OF HELP, this Spring sold 500 geraniums as Scholarship Committee Chairwoman to raise funds for one of two $1,000 scholarships the Brockton Garden Club awards each year.

  • I have spent nearly a life-time either playing soccer, refereeing soccer or coaching soccer, including as a volunteer for Brockton Youth Soccer. I love sports and outdoor activities and will fight to preserve the open spaces remaining in Ward 6, including Tukus Park, Hilstrom Farm Park, the Wilgoren Baseball Complex at Brookfield Elementary, and what remains of Romuva Park and the former city land adjacent to Romuva Park that is now proposed for the Boston Legacy’s practice fields.

  • I have a broad professional background in customer service, sales, hospitality, and as a long-time full-time and freelance news reporter on the South Shore and in my current position as a Criminal Defense Investigator for the Committee for Public Counsel Services, the state agency that is the public defender’s office.

Like you, I am hardworking and want the best for all residents and businesses of Ward 6 and all of Brockton.
